Ye Jin-Young
Using clay, porcelain, cotton swaps and aluminum; the Korean artist Ye Jin-Young creates sculptural, wall-object art that resemble petals, which flow in patterns found in nature. The composition of his works, inspired by rhythmic movement of water and light , possess a different dimension when the observer moves their position; the frontal view of the work offers a very different perspective when viewed from an angle. The artist often hints at patterns found in nature: the wind, flowers and water waves are themes that are appear frequently in his work. His clay works are simple, white petals that use shadow and light to create depth to his work.
